I am aware of the issue. The only thing I can take care of right now is keep track of the revisions, and I am keeping track of them. (Thanks for the headup sweet_jungle)

Thats what my question is. I think they just replied to cough up $5K from us.
This is just delaying techniques by USCIS. I think they are assuming that no one is going to pay this much amount and they can hide the BS they are doing!

They have exactly the same data in the same format we need. Now this is becoming like cheating by government.

If the mainstream media catches this, it'll be great! It has the potential to go viral!
Can we set a target of sending flowers from 500 people! and then do a media drive on it!!

Six years in US complete
Previous employer cheated by not filing GC
So need to change employer for filing GC
EB-3
I-140 approved with current employer
Not able to file I-485 because of retrogression
Wife not able to work
Moving around for jobs with family
Cheating Employer
Frustation with H1B Extension and stamping
Not able to Plan to go to India because of Interview dates
Not able to plan on good school Child's education
Not able to spend more money on good health insurance
Lot of time and money spent on H1B Extension and stamping
Signing short term lease for Apt's and moving around
Drivers license based on H1B papers
No benefits like 401K etc with small employers
Sick with the current employer

Are you aware of State Deptt URLs that explain current immigration rules (similar to IRS rules) as following.
Someone posted a URL that requires a good choice of search words. Such a process may not get all info specially for a novice like me. Thanks.
that's right the actual law had two words that could change the actual meaning of how they are supposed to do it (ie., vertical versus horizontal). Some people (i was one of them) thought that at such a stalemate in the words that coomon sense should prevail. Common sense would dictate that skill would prevail over diversity.
However; the rules were always such that there was never any horizontal spillover but rather vertical. The main thing that changed was that the unused visas from row could be used by retrogressed countries quarterly rather then annually.

This is a good idea. But tough to sell unless basic policy is changed. In USA any immigration has limit in numbers except a few category like spouses of US citizens. It is difficult to change that. When you put 8 years that means unlimited green cards. If they do that universities like TVU will be running full capacity and new universities will be started similar to that. Actually there should be some system to clean up univerity admission and also H1B so that genuine persons can come here easily.
Anyhow it is good idea to bring a bill like this and and see what happens. Still bills like recapture or modest rise of GC numbers will have a better chance of passing in congress

ALLOW EVERYONE TO FILE I485 SHOULD BE OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY.
You people already have filed 485 and have EAD. EAD gives you so much freedom . It is as good as a green card.
What about people who are less fortunate and cannot file II485. We need to allow everyone to be on the same page first and enjoy EAD freedom.
That should be our priority before any country limits or this thread action item

When did you get your GC?
I had to be persistent with my complaint with the Ombudsman. Finally I got it later in the year. When I sent my complaint in, sometime in July 08, I thought I was among the few who were left out. But this thread suggests that there are a lot who were bypassed when they gave GC's to PD's in 2005 and 2006 last year.
