Yes,, they did...
Our forefathers travelled to the promised land in ships that were full of rats, without food or water. Several of them died while trying to reach here.
Once here on the promised land, we had to fight our way to create a free society that you are dying to be part of. America is land of entrepreneurs.
And any one that don't have an entrepreneurial spirit is not welcomed here.
What do you have to bring to the table?
If you know so much about US then you must know this -
"immigrants were one of the key founders in more than a quarter of all the engineering and technology companies set up in the U.S. between 1995 and 2005. Further, it counted $52 billion in annual sales by these immigrant-founded companies, which employed 450,000 workers in 2005. "

Read what industry leaders from Microsoft, Google, Intel and Sun are talking about. Why they look to India and China. You dont want to understand this. Thats fine too. You did not have proper education to know this. Ask your parents why they neglected you while finding their soulmates (or ****buddies).
You "dumb and dumber" people just used this country and thought no one will ever challenge you. Now that you know very well your good old days are over you're talking all garbage. Go and hide where you can. You're not lucky enough to enjoy this country like your grandfathers did!! Bad luck buddy.
Keep talking rubbish if you wish as you've nothing better to do.

My only point was... there is a reason they encourage $100 minimum for a one time contribution. They could have simply published the email id and opened the doors to $5/ $10 contributors... i.e. the folks who say they would happily contribute this small amount if they had that option.
BTW I think you can send money over paypal only to email ids registered with paypal. info@iv is not, i believe.
Yes, info@iv is not, I tried that before jotting down my frustration on this thread. The only email id what you gave me works and I confirmed with As**** in iv core as well.

Why so much emphasis on growing your own vegetables?
What crop should I grow?
EB3 Guys,
Take it easy... This is just for humour, to have fun at these times.
No green card for you. Just work well for 6 years, enjoy life in US, enjoy sports cars by renting, not by buying, rent a big house, have a lawn and garden in back yard, grow your own vegetables. Have nice vacations like Hawaii, Jamaican islands, Vegas, Porto Rico etc.,Have fun in life. Do not go for green card. After 6 years, get nice job in India, own apartment near to office and ask your parents to live with you. Take kids to school . Have fun with them. Try to become director, AVP,VP,SVP,CEO,CTO and President. Do not go for green card. After you become director, buy a single family home and mercedez or BMW and have fun. Retire by the time your kids become earners. Grow vegetables in back yard. Do gardening and have fun. Thats how life should be. Do not hope for green card. H A V E F U N.

First and foremost, a Big THANK YOU to all the IV core team who along side their full time jobs were working behind the scenes in getting this done and having to go through the hecklers and naysayers.
A big thank you to Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren in helping pass all the pain and outrage of legal immigrants to the people incharge and making them listen.
Also last but not the least, every active member of IV who participated in the flower campaign, in San Jose rally and in actively informing media on IV projects to showcase legal immigration issues. And for keeping saner heads in the insane times.
BUT WE ARE FAR FROM ACCOMPLISHING WHAT WE SET OUT TO DO.
KEEP THE FIGHT ALIVE

Guys,
We are really thankful for your contributions. Let me remind all the members here, every penny you are paying to IV is accounted for. All the expenses incurred by IV members for traveling to DC for various meetings are all non-billable and are borne by themselves. There are few core team members whose personnel expenses have gone beyond 10K. I believe each of you can very well understand their need for green card is no more or less than your need for the status. So everybody, I repeat, everybody, please come forward and contribute.
Thanks

I agree with WendyZhu. I don't think that the IOs would share such sensitive information. They very well know that this information could spur up huge debates on blogs like it already has. At the same time the IO could be tracked down and could lose his job because of this. There is certainly something fishy here.
Relax guys and gals , don't stress over these rumors. We already have sleepless nights because of the erratic processing by USCIS and these rumor-mills just increase our stress level.
Just think of this - what's the worse that could happen ? It's already happening - people with 2006 PDs and Aug '07 RDs are getting approvals while 2004 PDs and July 2 RDs are still waiting.

My 485 was filed at NSC and the ND is 03 Oct 2007. It was subsequently moved to TSC in Nov 2008.
So which date is it going to be: PD, ND, RD or Move date (MD) ????
As I read the thread above on the perennial point of contention PD or RD or ND.
Since I was contacting my local congressman and Senators...I got this feedback that my case is pre-adjudicated but waiting to have a visa number available....but I don't know who to trust...I am just not very hopeful and if 485 ND is the date they go by I have no chance and will miss this opportunity too.

I would say if you are getting a good opportunity, do not loose it for the sake of September Visa bulletin. Do not send the AC21 documents to USCIS. If RFE comes, you can respond quickly by hoping that they will approve your case at the same time. In case, if you don't get RFE (chances are more), you might get GC right away.
absolutley true........ AC21 is not mandatory........respond only if RFE is generated....
just my 2 cents

I love the mild tone of your message. Jobs are no water in sun that they will evaporate. But if they do, I am not stopping you to take those jobs back home.
And I do notice large number of engineers, doctors, architects who are immigrants, and thats what concerns me.
I would re-insist that Rallies are worthless and not worth your time. Your country is growing economically and you should spend you time looking for a job back home instead.
My friend Mr. Sherman Tribiani,
First of all, thanks for sharing your opinion with us. What you are doing right now is what makes this country great. Right to express yourself with freedom as guaranteed by the 1st amendment. We will express ourselves on 18th.
Yes, you may end up blocking strive act, but what will happen then is all your jobs are going to start disappearing to eastern europe, China, India and any other place possible. I don't know if you work in high skilled labor market but if you do, I am sure you must have noticed the large number of engineers, doctors, architects who are immigrants and contributing to this society. Anyway, I think discussing this point with you is pointless.
Anyways, you are welcome on this forum. You can express your opinion as much as you want. I don't think we (or you for that matter) are going to gain anything by arguing online. We will have the rally and see what happens. I will do my duty(the rally) and leave the rest to God. Wish you all the best in your efforts. I hope whatever issues you have work out for you.
