When I was asked to resubmit documents after the interview (via drop box), the consulate said they will need 6-8 working days from the date of receipt of the latter. They indeed took only 7 working days.
Also, I believe they must already have done PIMS verification in my case since they asked for additional info 16 days after the interview. So in total it took them 29 days ( incl weekends)
In your case, it doesnt seem they got enough time to do PIMS. It is hard to
estimate the delays.

good to see you going to homeground but hate to see you go at this stage though.
We have many helpers here on this forum. I still suggest you to find another H1B holder, start h1b transfer and it will take 2-3 months to get the approval or denial, you have some time to find a job here. At least make money that you have spent for getting H1B.
If you work here for 6 months, you will at least get what you have paid.
I know you have made up your mind strongly, but just asking you to think over it again.
And if you decide to stay back and try for 2-3 months, Please let me know. I will share your email id with all recruiters and see how it goes. I will try my best, and sure there are many other helping hands here.
And as far as your employer matters, I say SCREW that B***, M***F***. Many of us, including me, do want to do but unable to do that either because we are at some stage of GC or some financial reason or frankly saying.. are little coward to go through that process and investigation. Only way I see is help one another.
I ask you to think over again and ping me if you decide to stay back and try before calling it off. Nope, you are not a looser, not the one afraid to fight, but this is frustating process and this is how it works here. Some good people come together, form IV like non-profit organization and fight for us but still number is very low and people like me come on this forum when in trouble (And then stays here for long :) and believe me IV has helped a lot.
Not only fighting for GC cause but also to boost your morale, make you confident and provide with all the good advise that they have learnt from experience.

Did it occur to anyone that we are only talking about compensating Aman the $64k he spent already. Imagine if he had made use of that $64k as an investment(let us say a safe investment with minimum returns) of that amount it should have exceeded that $64k value by now.
The least we can do at this moment is to immediately refund Aman and other core team members the amount they have spent towards the administrative costs of IV. Pappu / Logic Life / Other core team members, please let us know what kind of legal/administrative action is required to get this done.
We will immediately start a funding drive towards filling in this shortage from the total IV funds. IMHO on the longer run the smaller funds ($10, $20 etc) should not be neglected.

Not a single penny has been reimbursed to him for his trips to DC, food and stay in DC or car rental in DC. He even risked his job and went to DC on unpaid leave at critical times because lobbying was important for getting our work done. We in the core team know this and when we see the kind of contributions we get from members, we feel disappointed that our efforts are not valued. When we started the $20 contributions people felt $20 was too high and wanted $10 per month or less. The kind of work and effort that is needed to push a single provision is phenomenal and needs lot of capital. The more the better. Sometimes reading posts that say IV core is selfish also disappoints us. People do not know the effort that goes in getting anything done. This website is simply a tool for us to communicate to everyone. The big effort is the lobbying work. I have been to different state and I have stayed in different state. I think if an individual had stayed for one year in a state, the indivudual is eligible for in state tuition, that is the general rule I observed in all the state I have stayed. My wife is studying. I don't pay any fee for her. The tuition is covered under HOPE scholarship.

I just checked the USCIS website and found out that the approved H1 which has been reopened has a Last Updated date of 09/30/2007....

K , I see two views by two different types of folks.
View #1: This system sucks. Its not fair and just. America is a great country and land of immigrants and we chose to immigrate here. Lets work on this issue so that I myself and folks such as myself now and going forward do not have this problem. I will do what ever it takes. I personally feel that regardless of the outcome, it gives immense self satisfaction to commit to meaningful cause. Others might not feel so, but all of us believe that this problem needs to be solved and do what ever we can do.

Now My question is what do you want to accomplish on IV if you do not want to work on the issue, If you do not want believe in the core principles of this organization. If you think that immigrants are treated like dirt and again if you believe in that and because you are an immigrant in this country, you should have been putting up with a treatment like dirt, do you have an iota of self esteem?? Seriously, If you really believe what you are saying why do you even want to be here now? or why do you even want to have a backup plan that will again make you a immigrant some where else?? $$$ over ride self esteem Huh? In the name of discussion you want to shape the opinion of people who do not talk much. Kudos to your agenda. I will not!. Just because you chose to buy a home and have a life does not mean that others dont. Every one lives their own lives. Those who dont buy a home live a life of their choice. Stop judging people. GC was not a risk or hindrance to you in buying a home but could be for Joe the Analyst. You might have deep pockets, Joe the analyst might not or have other commitments. Coupled with the lack of GC, his risk might be more than some one else.

Right.But in your case, the guy who recieved your packet..might have mistakenly stamped the postmark date as the RD date . If so that is definitely their mistake. Wait a week or so to see what happens and if you dont' hear anything, take an infopass appointment to sort it out.

I just looked at my old cases(H1Bs-I-129) and i see LUDs on them too!!! This is so weird.
These are from my last company!
LUD on 05/06/2006 - Approved on October 11, 2003
LUD on 10/21/2007 - Approved on March 19, 2002
I see LUDs but no difference in the status. They both say approval notice sent.
