You may wanna read "Six thinking hats" by Edward de bono. He talks about having critical thinking hat(black hat) during brainstorming.Lets have some people with black hats here.
I have read the above book and other books (lateral thinking, ...) by Edward de bono; he has written a lot of (non expensive) books. I strongly recommend his books to the open minded reader.
btw I thought anand26 was banned from this forum. I am not too far away from being banned as well. I got a post deleted by the admin already without any notice.
I should also be banned soon. My post was not published on Friday. I did not praise logiclife for the Friday episode. I do understand that my question's will not get answered.
On the other hand, I see absolutely no content in anand26's posts. Such posts are a complete waste of time for our cause. There is no point in responding to such posts if you do not agree with it. We wasted yesterday on anand26 and friday on someone else.
However, the posts should not be deleted and persons who agree should be allowed to debate. This will not hurt IV. What is hurting us is the time we spend in responding to them.

I believe your answer below was related to this situation:
Consider this:
If someone renews his/her H1B after 6 years based on approved I-140. Assuming that dates are not current, the H1B gets renewed for 3 years.
In this scenario if the pending I-485 gets denied, what happens to the current H1B? Does that also get invalidated as it's renewal was based on a pending I-485 and approved I-140?

This is complex area and I don't understand fully. Please don't give red dots for these tough questions. I already reduced giving answers from 5-6 per day to one in 5-6 day.

I am a registered member not contributing financially so far. I beliefs are as fake as "reverse brain drain". I am neither fake nor anti immigrant. I am not a citizen of the USA nor a permanent member to be anti immigrant. But I always like to try and see if I can walk a mile in their shoes before making tall claims about anything. I beleive the USA govt will really stop the reverse brain drain if it is that big an issue for them without even we trying to tell them.

Anyway, IIRC, in past there have been incidences where VB posted in mumbai Consulate's website actually did not turn out to be true. Couple of years back - after the retrogression - it predicted huge forward movement which 2 days later turned out to be false hope...

I called my attorney after seeing this thread. This is what I heard from him.
We have not received it back from CIS. We have not received any of them back that we filed. CIS said it will unequivocally reject them. But as of Monday they have decided not to send some back (many were already sent back) pending some internal decision-making about how to handle them. We would let you know if anything happened.
lawyer says "many were already sent back " did any body who filed on 2nd July got there application back ??

Here is a suggestion for you:
1) Book a round trip ticket for your wife to fly back immediately. Meanwhile, take an appointment for your wife with a local USCIS cert civil surgeon to take the TB test/vaccine. Take it wherever you can get it -near or far.
2) Get lawyer to draft the RFE response. Submit the doc's report to lawyer as soon as you get it. (most surgeons will give it in a day or two after checking the bump.)
This whole process should be done in less than a week if you can prepare everything else before your wife gets here.
3) Wife flies back and continues with rest of vacation with kids. You can have your Euro vacation at the end too! :)
Downside: Twins will have to be away from Mom for a week.
Upside: Monetary Losses and life disruption cut as short as possible.

I see soft LUD's on all our family (4) I-485 applications today. This is the first LUD I have seen since 11/29/07! My wife got a RFE message. I have to wait for this RFE. I and my kids do not have any RFE messages though.

The session hasn't started yet. There is a delay since the House is in session. Once the voting on the bill that is currently discussed in the House is over, probably then they will start the meeting..
