Hello,
With hard 7% limit per country; our numbers within EB category are at 10,000 (it's not a huge number even if we apply 7% on EB+FB).
There are at least 250,000 people waiting on GC from India alone, at this rate it will take 25 years.
Am I wrong, I really hope I'm terribly wrong.

Cheque clearance is a good indication.

For eg.. I was talking to my friend in India and told him about the issues here, he did not understand, he thought I am having a tough time here and told me he has some friends in US who can help me out with immigration problems. When I explained our issues to some people here, some understood and some did not, they told me they know some lawyers who are very good and can help. One of my old employer started a new company in Atlanta and contacted me and asked me to join, but I told him I cannot because I am stuck with my ppresent employer and will lose priority date blah... he did not understand that and was confused.
I had the SAME exact problem, both, with people here (indian citizens who are now american citizens) and people back home. To the point where, once i was addressing a group of my community members and a couple of Indian american people absolutely REFUSED to belive that the Govt wud give illegals a better break than they wud give us, and that it had happened in the past. It took me half an hour and quite a few examples to illustrate how that was true.
About all the confusion with the priority dates. I Myself am confused about this whole Priority Date Nonsense. I mean the part about processing 485's based on PDs makes sense. Why you cannot even APPLY makes NO sense whatsoever. I have tried making a short speech to convey the problem to friends and co-workers. Each time it ends up being so long winded and detailed that it just doesnt make it worthwhile. Midway in the conversation, u can feel the other person mentally Yawning ;)

Don't fight for Eb2 vs Eb3 or Eb2 vs Eb1 etc. If we focus on these 3 bills then it will solve all our problems.
(1) STEM bill remove all MS + Phd people so Eb2 will be half empty and Eb1 will be 80 % empty.
(2) Re capture will bring new visas where they will go certaily to Eb3. ( Eb1 and Eb2 do not need visa if passes STEM bill )
(3) No Country cap limit. Will clean Huge line of Eb3 india, China , Phili..

If any employer is minting too much and troubling a lot, make all necessary advances that one can physically produce, in such case once the person is approved with good status of Green Card one can sue the employer, that would be the right time to bring him to justice.
Yes but do note you do not have endless time to file a complaint. I don't know how many months you have to file a complaint after leaving your job but I know for sure there is a time limit.
Also I do not agree with your statement "minting too much". I don't think the complaint should be filed just because you are not happy with your employer or because employer made 'minted' money. Just because somebody made lot of money on you should not be a reason to harass the employer; this way we will be no better than the evil employers. If somebody thinks that the employer is going to make 'mint' money then s/he should not take the job in the first place.

Yeah, we have to focus on long term relief. Getting AP and EAD is not a long term solution. I was hoping 'capturing unused numbers' or something better would happen with this July fiasco fix, does not seem to be happening now.
Hopefully this DREAM act will trigger more amendments like 'no limits on STEM EB visas' to get into pending bills...

In my view, it is too good to be true. But we have no way to challenge the numbers either. But it is 50% of the entire EB pending cases. Is this document authentic?? I don't see the logo on the letterhead??

I think Founder of IV got green card 2 or 3 years back. So he may think it may be waste of time to write a message in Forum. Or he may be only working in background. Donor members and State chapters may have a better idea as they know more than normal members. If they also see no participation from him then we can decide that he is busy in his personal work and no time to devote for IV
I have been a IV member since 2006 . I have seen the ups/downs . donated money , sent letters , attended rallies and done whatever has been been proposed . But I see that many senior members who had the drive to motivate people are not sending or being part of any messages or threads at all and that is exactly why the movement seems to be losing steam .
The standard response that I see to any question is "have you donated money ? " . "Don't ask for anything till you have donated. " this is followed by some some red dots which normally works to silence the questions. People will be willing to donate when they believe in the movement . I remember we collected $ 30,000 in 1 month before the rally there was huge thread with all the donations . People were charged up and the money came up automatically . I am willing to donate but to be brutally honest I do not see the same level of motivation as was there in 2006 / 2007 days .Please use this as a wakeup call and not as reason to vent your frustration on me .
There are many senior members who I do not even see any more . Members joining in late 2007 or early 2008 will not know any of these guys .
Aman Kapoor . He is the founder of IV . I have not seen his messages since the past 3 years almost . Where is he ? Is it too much for him to send a greeting in New years eve motivating the members ? It takes just 2 minutes .
Mark Bartosik :- He was supposed to the spokesperson for IV .The guy with the MasterCard sign for immigration . I have not seen him for quite some time now

a) Walden Pond
b) There was a this British Girl from San Jose ( had a handle which had name like Rose or something )
c) Niloufer Bustani from Dallas. I see her once in a while but very sparingly .
The others even I have forgotten completely.
The only leadership/core that I see is Pappu and no one else . If you have a country where the prime minister shows his face only once in 4 years , how are the people supposed to believe in that movement ? Please don't reply with a message saying what have I done or why can't I contribute money ? I have done that I am looking for leadership to show us the way and motivate us . All campaigns don't need money donations( Letters , calls , faxes etc ) . We could start with that and then drum up support and momentum and then the money will start flowing in automatically . There has to be a synchronized campaign organized by the leadership and all I see is everybody putting their eggs in the basket called spillover.

People want to bash consultancies for their practices. I am currently trying to recruit a c++ programmer to work with me, and I find resumes on dice from US citizens and GC holders, most of these resumes are bloated to a large extent.
Resume bloating is a common practice, there will be very few honest people, it is upto the employer to do strict scrutiny on resumes.
Let us not associate resume bloating or consultancies with retro situation.

May be US corporations can tactically support this bill because this bill will impact Indian bodyshoppers severly. For past 5 years US companies could not compete with Indian companies as they have more leverage on H1b. Now if Indian companies avoid H1b US companies can get any time they want as they can satisfy most of conditions

I have not received any. Generally the notice goes to the employer or the attorney who filed the petition on our behalf. Moreover I have checked with my previous employer. They are suspecting the case got reopened because of the H1B withdrawal petition that was filed sometime back. Things will be clear only after they receive the notice.

Company tax returns can only show the NET INCOME . You need an Audited Financial Statement prepared by a CPA to show NET ASSETS
