when a EB3-I family gets a GC ..they should buy a lottery on that day..it is definitely one of their lucky days

I am wondering the same for 2002 applicants. I wonder if many people were approved in 2007 fiasco and if yes, then why PD is stuck at Nov 2001?
I am also thinking the same that many might have been approved in 2007, because most of these applicants had a chance to apply before the gates were closed in 2005, and would have been approved in 2007. But 0 responses is still odd.
The reasons for Nov 2001 PD could be due to backlog processing centers that held sway over these applicants (non-RIR cases), but by same yardstick, there still should be some cases in early 2002. Odd indeed (though a good kind of "odd", as we will get a welcome jump in dates once they ball starts rolling).

Today 10/16/2007 there is another update. Why is USCIS looking at my old H1B approved in August 2003 for an employer I left in 2004? I am perplexed!

Going by the accident Scenario.
Friend of mine involved in similar situation..
and the cop who came on the scene given ticket to every one except car7.
Reason he quoted is every car has to maintain enough distance(not sure how much by law :confused:)... Had they maintained enough distance they would not hit the car in front of them even somebody hits you from behind..
So Car3 has no right to SUE you..

I received a call from my lawyer last week saying he got a call from USCIS asking the lawyer whether my wife got the TB Skin test done or not, as she did not get it originally as we were expecting our child at the moment.
I sent the lawyer the scanned copy of the TB skin test results and posted him the sealed envelope separately yesterday, which he was planning on Faxing over to USCIS. Today I saw a soft LUD on my wife's I-485.
Don't know what this means? Its hard to belive that my Lawyer is so proactive to send the fax right away. And I can't believe that someone at USCIS actually updated my wifes case after lawyers response...
So don't know whats going on there... Friends whats meant by pre-adjudication?

well said... and key point is we are bashing (if that's what you want to call it) the system (we are part of the system) not Americans...
Lot of people fail or choose not to see that.
We do have a right to request prompt, fair service.
We do have a right to expect to be treated by the system as we treat the system: with respect.
If we do not actively seek to change the system for the better, then who will?
There is no injustice that some justify with "well, he's illegal!" or "He's not American!" It is not acceptable. Not just because it is unfair to us, but because there are no bounds to it.
If early Americans just accepted how the British treated them, there would be no United States. Not arguing for revolution, but I am saying that any efficiency that exists today exists because of the demand for it. Regardless of citizenship.

actually what happen The NBC sent my I-797 Welcome notice to my lawyer and one to me but because I was not on the lease I didn't have my name written on the mail box, so the mail man returned the notice to the sender (NBC) after that the NBC when they got back the welcome notice they re-opened the case so after that I got a new message saying the last letter we sent has been returned it is very important that we have the right address blah blah blah
and then my lawyer called and made sure they have my right address since I use a PO BOX for mailing purposes not my physical address
and then I got an online message saying we mailed the document to the address we have in our file or our system something like this
and after some day I got the Document they were talking about sent to my PO BOX: it is not GC but the Welcome notice that failed to get to me in the first place
so Document in my case is the Welcome notice
I really can not believe my eyes until I will see my GC in my hand

Lets not support this bill guys. The right way to stop mis-use of H1 or L1 by companies is to make it a free market for the "employees" in visa. Let them be able to work for "any employer". Do you think the L1 guy will let him be abused, if he was allowed to change employers easily. Lets not close the doors for others, lets have an open mind to for competition and equal human treatment. Also lets see what is best for USA.
Putting more restrictions on employer is never effective. Abusing employers will always find the loopholes, and the legitimate employers will be scared away. The effective way is to get the "visa employees" more freedom.

I understand that I'm trying to chose a devil/insurance, which is lesser evil compared to the rest.
So, in that aspect, Comprehensive/Fixed appears to NOT matter at all. These are just pricey nouns. I can't believe that K.V.Rao's insurance lying publicly that it's a not-for-profit. These ridiculous kinds, stoop to such a level of cheating people with a Indian name on it.
I'm still open for any recommendations here. I appreciate all your comments & suggestions so far.

One of the IV members has requested me to post this info.
He contacted his senator to get the total number of pending EB apps for India.
Please see the response from the senator in the following link. It has pending applications by category.
