wife's SR yielded in a response of "assigned to an officer on 9/11" and my infopass today (9/15) also had the same result....so I guess its a waiting game for us! I tried normal "outside of processing window" method to file SRs but now learnt about getting to directly to talk to IO...will try that tomorrow - I wish I could bug them ay this hour :)

it would make our plans to go back even more certian.. A MASS EXODUS of HIGH TECH WORKERS.. is exactly what this country needs..way to go!
If CIR S.1348 results as a death sentence to the draems of thousands of
hightech workers and eventually it results to a exodus i'm sure they will realize the mistake at the end.
When they will see that No one is interested in this country to study and Pursue STEM ( even with scholarship) and their problem is still unresolved they probably have to spend Double the Money to bringback Indians here.

Pay 3 times if they want us to do that from Offshore.... No Compromise man !!

1) Use your credit history to purchase additional home in Florida. House purchase in 150000 will be 250000 in year. The market was like that a year back. It takes 8 months to get a house. There is a big line.
2) Open your own e-business. File E visa. 1/4 million should be easy money if you have stayed here for 10 years.
3) House listing in only done by realtor. Give option to customer. For fun open a site for people to list their house for sale. Give them free service then charge. Live American way.
4) Make school in Village. I have made one. I enjoy supporting the school. Grow India.
5) Don't worry about GC. Do something. Registering a site takes some $35 or 40. Built you site. Use American brain.
Am I doing it? Yes.. Did I make money? Yes.

Most economists agree with this view only people still propogating the myth of house ownership as an investment are Realtors and "Flippers" looking to unload their houses on ignorant suckers. People made money, yes, but that was upto mid that is when housing market peaked. It has been on sequential monthly decline since than. Buying house as an investment in current economic conditions is bad advise. Save money and wait till late 2007 or early 2008.

You are saying new OBAMA govt. in many of your postings. Are you his election agent?. This forum is not for any party affiliations. Election is yet to start. Democratic party is not officially announced their candidate. All powerful President Bush is tried hard to help immigrants. Then how come a weak person who is still fighting for a ticket can take left and right congress and senete veterans.!!!!!!

The new OBAMA government's agenda is to take the immigration reform during his first year tenure in the ffice. Once the immigration reform took place, I am pretty sure there would be significat changes in employment based category, which drastically decrease the backlogs in all EB categories.
In addtion to that "legals are first than illegals"- OBAMA. This itself is enough for clearing off all the backlogs.

Changed Employer in late 2004 and filed for GC. So my priority date is early 2005. Old Employer did not file GC so forced to leave him.
Now in retrogesstion. Employer takes lot of his share in the billing rate. If we need to go for a good billing rate, vendors think I'm new to US as I don't have GC. Lot many Dependents after getting GC started working and so supply for software professionals are more. Demand meets the supply and so the billing rate is down. Most of the vendors prefers only locals. Forced to take job whatever comes first.
Have a grown up child and she has to start his school. Well educated wife not able to work and wasting time and energy. Not able to decide other than being in US. Keep reading the forums and whenever some bill comes up hope rises, but all now in vain. From now will not expect or believe anything from US congress/senate until President signs it.

As Pappu mentioned, the $ 64,000 figure is not a typo. That indeed is the money that was spent by him individually. Logiclife and others made trips to DC,air travel, hotel etc.. does add up real fast. All the expenses on these travels have been borne by the individuals and have not been reimbursed. More than 99 % of the IV funds has been used for advocacy efforts and getting council.
The kind of commitment shown by Aman and logiclife is unparallel and they deserve our salutes and wishes. Also, do not forget to contribute to Immigration Voice. What we have achieved is interim relief, there has more work to be done in the future.

the local service center lady said - Assigned to an officer on 9/11 - now HOW MUCH OF A WAIT AFTER ASSIGNED TO AN OFFICER? recent approvals folks - can you shed some light?
you should get it soon. Call the service center where your case is to check further as online status is not a good indicator. In my case per TSC i was approved on 9/4 but my online status did not change until 9/11.

Just got back from the rally, i would say it was a big success. Media coverage on the issue was fantastic. I saw the ABC7 news truck. There were many reporters from SJ Mercury news, SF Chronicle etc. Crowd was good, dont want to speculate on numbers yet but we should have an official word soon.
Police were very friendly. The crowd was very enthusiastic and also obeyed the rules. All of us stayed on side walks. Logiclife and Frankilin among others were there. Many reporters spread out and spoke to people.
Lot of members from another groups called Immigration Rights also joined us.
We got lot of honks. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

same thing happened with my wife's case too, RFE status change on 4/3 and then again a soft lud on 4/6 on my wife and soft lud on mine on 4/7 ... no status change... can you guys let me know once you receive the hard copy... i will update once i receive it...so far havent received and waiting for it...as we have only 30 days to respond...
